These are a few of our favourite things…
A short walk on the footpaths takes you to Grindbrook Booth (generally known as Edale). Here you can enjoy good food and company at Coopers café, visit the Moorland and Information centre to find out more about the local area and the work of Moors For the Future, spend a quiet moment in the church, treat yourself to tea an cakes at the National Trust’s Penny Pot café.
The Rambler Inn and The Nags Head pub can be found in Edale.
Chatsworth House- Spectacular House and Gardens, also plenty for the children (farm and adventure play ground)
The Wanted Inn at Sparrowpit is a local pub serving and selling local produce #buybritish #farmingdelivers !!
Castleton village - good choice of pubs (try the Bull's Head), cafes and gift shops. Tourist Information centre.
Buxton - a spa town with some splendid Georgian architecture. Indoor swimming pool,
Bakewell - a popular market town on the river Wye with lots of shops and cafes, walks and cycle routes.
Hathersage - open air pool, Pool Cafe, Colemans deli, stanage edge and North Lees for excellent walking, climbing and history
